"GIVE EAR, O MY PEOPLE, TO MY TEACHING...WE WILL NOT HIDE THEM FROM OUR CHILDREN, BUT TELL TO THE COMING GENERATION THE GLORIOUS DEEDS OF THE LORD, AND HIS MIGHT, AND THE WONDERS THAT HE HAS DONE" (PSALM 78:1-4).
Due to Covid, some of these ministries have been adjusted. Please contact Dana (using the Contact page) to find out the current Children's Ministry schedule. As the church resumes our "regular" schedule, this information will be accurate once again.
We provide a safe, Christ-centered, biblical environment in which your children can thrive as they grow in discipleship. We express this commitment in the following ways:
1. A family experience in worship
We invite families to worship together during our worship service on Sunday morning. Children's worship bags, special bulletins and sermon note sheets are available every week at The Children's Station beside the Sound booth. An usher would be happy to help you locate it if you have trouble finding it.
2. Safe nurseries
Two safe and secure nurseries (Infant and Toddler) are available during both the Worship service and small group hour every Sunday.
3. Children's Church
PreK-2nd grade students have the option of being dismissed from the service (just prior to the sermon) to attend Children's Church. Parents should go to the Children's Church classroom following the service to pick up their children.
4. Small group
Our Children's ministry includes a Small Group for children (PreK - 5th graders). We have age-appropriate Bible study (using The Gospel Project curriculum), mission opportunities, games and crafts. We gather at 10:45 a.m. each Sunday morning.
5. Special opportunities for mission & ministry
Throughout the year we also have many special opportunities for children and their families including a pumpkin painting party, Jesse tree party, Easter Egg Hunt, Friday Night S'mores, and family cook outs. Children also participate in mission on a regular basis in the garden and by making bubbles for the Children's Hospital. They also keep in touch with our missionaries and shut ins by sending notes of encouragement.
